Designed for a company that wants to consolidate its business currently spread over several sites onto one site I was asked to design a concept that would incorporate the main company office area along with showroom and workshop space.

This project comes at an interesting time, when our ideas about housing typology are being challenged. So many of us are familiar with the bach concept. Most of these end up being large holiday residences often standard alone that many end up retiring to.

Mystery Creek Farm House

This is a rural house for a family with two young boys. The spaces have been considered to allow the couple's parents to come stay for extended periods, encouraging family interaction whilst still provide space for the boys to retreat to.

Hayes Paddock Small House

Buildings have a sense of personality and it is important when dealing with existing spaces that this is recognised and used to its maximum potential. Life and style since the 1940s has changed considerably and spaces need to be upgraded to make our housing stock ready for the next 50 years of use.

Forest Lodge Concept

This lodge is situation on a North Island cycle way to provide a stop for weary travellers, giving them a chance to recharge their batteries in a remote rural setting.

Retro Rejuvenation

The owners of this 1970's architectural gem fell in love with the style of this building. It was important to them, that while the gully house was adapted to suit their family needs and aspirations, that the original character (which first caught their attention) be honoured.

Urban Living – High Density Residential

Key to this concept is the busy and urban nature of the site. Situated on a high traffic road this 1000m² site has potential to be subdivided to offer multiple residential units. As the road is located on the north face of the site, it was a challenge to reduce the amount of space taken up by vehicle access, while still giving some outdoor North facing living space area.

Church Road Family Residence

This house design is for a young family who have a large rural section with fantastic sea views to the north. The clients on this project had a clear idea of how they wanted the house to be laid out and wanted orientation of living and bedroom spaces to be to the north and view.
